Show Garden at Heckington Show

Project Overview:

Heckington Show is held annually near Sleaford, Lincolnshire and is the largest village show in the country.

We decided to promote SG Landscapes by taking a stand there and creating our very own show garden to demonstrate what can be done for visual impact even in a small space.

Stuart designed the garden to be a traditional British cottage garden at the peak of the summer flowering season. He made up a wooden cottage frontage incorporating reclaimed building materials and painted it to look how one pictures a classic old country cottage.

A self-built wooden framework at the front of the cottage held the plants that were sourced from our local nursery and garden centres.

The pathway from the front door to the rustic wooden front fence weaved its way through the Lavender, Salvias, Heucheras and other plants.
